Click the image to watch: What Is LYPS Connect? Over the last year, insights from conversations with JCPS district leaders, the American Institutes for Research project focused on family and community engagement, and the Superintendent’s Community Meetings in June and September have pointed to a consistent need: schools, families, and community providers need a clearer way to understand what programs exist, where they operate, and how to connect young people to them.
Those insights, alongside earlier work identifying and verifying Louisville’s violence-prevention organizations, helped shape LYPS Connect. With support from Metro United Way, those community resources are now being brought together in one searchable place.

LYPS Connect brings together information gathered through years of community partnership work, existing public and partner resource lists, and direct provider submissions.
The directory includes mentoring programs serving JCPS students and other community partners, arts programming, mental-health and therapeutic services, after-school and summer programs, violence-prevention programs, and career and workforce-readiness opportunities.
Providers are currently reviewing and confirming their listings so the directory and gap analysis reflect the most accurate information possible.
